During HS we had some classes together and often met shared some laughs in a bathroom between classes for quick smokes.   Otherwise didn't know him that well.

I went all the way from grade school to high school with Roger - our best years that I remember were the grade school years - he could always make me laugh.   We got caught up at our 20th reunion and I had not seen him since.

I met Roger in junior high and we were on the same wrestling team in high school.  He was a tough competitor and a good friend.  Roger had a great sense of humor and a look that could keep you wondering what he was up to.  Roger was a true friend and could always be depended on if you ever needed him.  He lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed.  Peace.

Roger also had a brother Gil that i dated in high school. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of his family. He was a great kid who was funny and  kind.

Roger was my cousin.  We were not close. But always kind of knew what the other had been up to. We laughed at and about our family.   Always think about him when I drive past the house he lived in. About his long hair and beard he had last I saw him.

Roger and I go back to kindergarten as we grew up in the same neighborhood area.  Roger, Larry Webb, Peter Habich, and I, we all would always walk back to our homes together as a group, as we played together at that time.  I attended Roger's funeral and have stayed in touch with Linda, (his sister) and his mother.  They live together on Oak Street (the same address) that Roger grew up on.  He did die of a heart attack.  He worked at General Electric alongside of Donna Monkman.

Larry Webb, is doing well and lives in Decatur IL with his wife and all of his children are grown.

Peter Habich (if anyone remembers Peter) he lived right across the street from me on West Monroe Street.  Peter had been my good friend during that time.  He and his family moved to Elgin/Chicago Illinois when Peter was a sophomore in High School.  Sadly though Peter committed suicide after his wife left him in Elgin, Illinois.

Roger was a friend of mine. In Jr High he had a part-time job at the Castle. I got to know Roger when I worked at GE 76-80. Good man who never said a bad word about anyone. Well, maybe a choice comment about a GE boss....Roger liked Charlie Daniels and Willie Nelson and his Moms breakfasts. As with anyone who dies at his age it was way to soon. I'll always remember him. A good guy.
