Jimmy Burchett - (James) - I had known closely when his mother Virginia Burchett would take Jimmy and his sister Georginia would attend the same CHURCH that my family attended at West Olive Methodist Church which had been the same block that Jimmy lived. My father Herman Schweizer was the 6th Grade class Sunday School Teacher for 40 years as Jimmy and I both attended this Sunday School class and then right after the class was done we ALL would run across the street to the CORNER LITTLE STORE and purchase candy. I loved Jimmy so much. He was always gentle, kind hearted, and knew how to make me laugh.

Just saw a post that Jane made about James and it brought up a memory I have from Jr high. I was in a class with him when they came to tell him his father had been killed in Vietnam. First time I had any personal connection with someone who lost a loved one over there.
