Dana was my best friend growing up. He tried to spend the night at my house when he was four but cried. His father had to come and carry him home. I slept through the whole thing.
Our favorite song was "The Yellow Rose of Texas" that he played on a record player in his room.
I think of him often and still miss him.
His birthday was October 1, 1953 and he died on Dec. 2, 1972.
I did not get to know Dana very well. We had a few classes together and homerrom. I knew him to have a good sense of humoer and most of the guys he hung with I knew.
Dana was a good friend...ironically my parents moved into a home in the 80's just a couple of doors away from his home (and Karen Shepard's too for that matter) ...I think of him every time I visit my mother.
